Makin' videos?

selamat pagiiiii!

Lately I’ve been thinking about maybe making YouTube videos. >w> It’d be cool and fun, right..?  and omg guys, i can’t stop eating these strawberry vanilla chex… how can something even be so delicious? Did you know that when they photograph cereal, they actually put it on a layer of some glue that’s usually set on top of some cardboard instead of milk? Once you see that, you can never unsee it.. (•̀ᴗ•́)
 

But, anyway, youtube! I have lots to say.. and there’s lots of video essays I think should exist that just don’t yet! I actually made a video essay for my final project in high school! It was about how fiction affects reality! Tbh, I bet I could do a better essay on that.. ahaa, I probably wouldn’t make a video on that, though, because it’s a super nuanced and complicated topic.. but, like, listen, I did the essay partly on Turning Red, which had just come out at the time.. I love Turning Red… (´౪๏`)

Did you ever watch that video essay on how weird the movie Rio actually was? Because I think I’d wanna make videos like that!

Like, right now I’m watching Bolt, and I’m not even two minutes in… and I’m thinking, how crazy is it to pick one of the most neurotic dog breeds to be an action actor, and then not allow him any life outside of his role to make it more ‘realistic’?! o_O It’s never once played off like this isn’t a horrible thing to happen to Bolt, of course, but holy moly! No one really talks about JUST HOW BAD THAT IS!!!!
 

And whenever my sister watches Finding Dory, I have so many qualms with the end of the movie, where they take Dory’s friends back with them to the Australian reef.. where it’s anywhere from 75-85°F year round… A whale shark can thrive in an even wider range of temperatures than that, so that’s okay. But… one of Dory’s friends is a beluga she meets at the marine life institute… where they live in arctic waters, down to about 30°F… and the warmest water they are accustomed to is typically 60°F… Don’t forget that 40% of a beluga’s body mass is thick blubber!!!! (´༎ຶ۝༎ຶ) And belugas are pretty huge, and they’re not flat like a whale shark! Imagine your neighbor’s childhood best friend randomly invited you to her hometown to live with her or whatever. (And it’s 7.5k miles away btw.) But when you arrive, you realize every single thing in the town is like 5 ft tall max and you’re bumping into everything and hurting yourself and ITS SO HOT! ITS LIKE YOURE IN PALM SPRINGS AND YOU CANT TAKE OFF YOUR WINTER COAT BECAUSE ITS PART OF YOUR BODY WHICH HASNT BEEN AN ISSUE UNTIL JUST NOW!!!!!

Btw, since Destiny (whale shark) and Bailey (beluga) partially ‘share’ exhibits (there’s bars between them underwater which facilitates an exchange in the water)… so.. it’d probably be roughly 60°F (a beluga’s max and a whale shark’s min). You can’t tell me they didn’t jump into the california ocean and go “Oh fuck it’s kinda warm out here”⁽⁽◞(˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ =͟͟͞͞ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅)◟⁾⁾
 

YOU KNOW, ACTUALLY, I’m considering maybe I might not want to make youtube videos. If I did, I’d embed them to my site.. maybe they’d even be unlisted..? I just.. I’m tired of the dopamine feedback loop from social media. I learned recently that it used to be way more fun to make content on YouTube in the past. Well, that’s obvious.. but today, what I didn’t realize is that content creators feel more compelled to put out content every other day just to keep numbers up! that’s really stressful and annoying. I never want to live like that. I’ve been growing really stressed and even overstimulated by technology these days. Like, last night me and my friends were watching videos and then we all got really annoyed because of the ads that would pop up….

Not even your normal commercial you might see on TV some years ago! But like, (AI VOICE) “Tired of seeing ads?” YES!!!YES!!!! I AM THOROUGHLY EXHAUSTED, I HATE AI I HATE AI I HATE STUPID SHORT-FORM MEDIA RABBITHOLE APPS THAT TAKE YOUR FREE WILL AND REPLACE IT WITH AN ALGORITHM I HATE CHILD LABOR I HATE CAPITALISM

ARGHHHH!!!!
 

So in conclusion, when I make videos, I’ll put them on BitView and embed them to this site. UGH!
